Excel India and Chindia Funds win 2015 Lipper® Fund Awards

The Excel Chindia Fund Series A and the Excel India Fund Series A have won 2015 Lipper® Fund Awards in the Geographic Equity Category.

The Excel Chindia Fund won the award for the Best Fund over 10 Years, while the Excel India Fund won the award for the Best Fund over 3 Years. This is the second consecutive year that the Excel Chindia Fund has won the Lipper® Fund Award.

“Winning two Lipper® Fund Awards is indicative of our focus on providing strong risk-adjusted returns for our clients over the long-term,” says Bhim D. Asdhir, President and CEO of Excel Funds. “Leveraging one of the largest networks of on-the-ground sub-advisers each of whom employ disciplined, active portfolio management, Excel Funds is able to maintain a competitive edge over its peers in the emerging markets space,” he adds.

The Lipper® Fund Awards are part of the Thomson Reuters Awards for Excellence, a global family of awards that celebrate exceptional performance throughout the professional investment community. They recognize the top funds in each category that have delivered stronger and more consistent performance than their peers.

Managed by Excel Investment Counsel Inc. (“EIC”), an affiliate of Excel Funds, both funds are the only mutual funds of their kind available in Canada, and offer investors the opportunity to benefit from growth in two of the world’s largest economies, India and China. “We are indeed proud to be recognized by Lipper® and look forward to the challenge of repeating this feat in years to come,” Asdhir says.
